Mosaic Stained Glass - Roots metal print by Catherine Van Der Woerd. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

About Catherine Van Der Woerd
CATHERINE VAN DER WOERD, MOSAIC ARTIST I was born in Halifax and returned to Nova Scotia in 2013 after spending most of my life in Banff, Alberta working in the tourist industry. I enjoy my summers by the Bay of Fundy in Harbourville and my winters by my cozy wood stove in Clementsvale. I’ve always enjoyed creating art and playing with different mediums before finding my passion in mosaic stained glass. In between mosaic projects you might find me painting with the vibrant colours of alcohol ink. I love nature and I am always inspired by my surroundings!

Hello, this is an amazing piece. I have a few questions; Did you cut the peices from a plain sheet of glass before painting them? Did you stick the pieces straight onto an ordinary window? What did you use to fill the gaps? Thank you very much

Thank you for the nice comment! I use stained glass which is cut then I grind the edges before glueing them to the window. Then grout it.
